Frequently asked questions
Can I attend meetings without becoming a member?
You are welcome to attend up to two of our "moms only" events (i.e. Mom's night out, bunko, Tuesday evening meetings) as a guest or prospective member. After that, we hope you'll decide to join us as a member.
Can i take my child to meetings?
Mothers & more encourages our members to take time out for themselves to attend meetings. However, when a separation from an infant is not possible, babies are welcome to accompany mothers to chapter meetings.
Are there any activities that i can participate in with my child(ren)?
We do have several daytime activities geared towards children which include playgroups and other seasonal special events such as our annual Halloween party and our annual picnic.
Where do your members live?
The majority of our members live in Johnson county including but not limited to Overland Park, Lenexa, Leawood, prairie village, Olathe and Shawnee. Membership is not restricted by location.
Are all of your members "at home moms?"
Some of our members are currently at home with their children full-time, while others work either part-time or full time outside the home. Frequently, members are in transition between these stages. The purpose of mothers & more is to provide support to mothers in all phases of their professional lives.
Can I still join even if I can't attend meetings very often?
Our chapter is here to lend support, however that best fits into your schedule. We offer a range of activities in addition to chapter meetings to meet the diverse needs of our members.
How do I become a member?
Membership is $45 / year. The mothers & more national website accepts credit card or you can print out their membership form [pdf] and send it along with a check to the address provided. You can also send email to our chapter's new member coordinator for more information.
