Chapter involvement helps to meet our diverse needs by providing a core group of moms with whom to share concerns, friendship, acceptance, a sense of community...and lots of fun! See below to learn more.

Mom’s Night Out
Mom's Night Out is an activity with just the mom in mind. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month for either a dinner at a local restaurant, a movie, or other social activity. Mom’s night out is a wonderful opportunity to get out and be able to have some fun away from the family and enjoy the company of other moms.
Bunko
Bunco is a fun and easy game! Members rotate from table to table as they play the game and get to know other members. Bunko is hosted in the evening at a member’s home, the 4th Tuesday of the month.
Annual Picnic
Every summer our chapter holds it’s Annual Picnic. This is an event for the whole family. We Bar-B-Q some great food, let the children play and have a great time. In past years we even had a magician on hand to entertain the family!
Care Team
The Care team is a team of people that provide support in the form of meals to members who are experiencing life changes (birth, death, divorce, move, etc). When a member experiences a life-changing event, the Care team leaps into action. Once our Care Team Coordinator is notified, the coordinator posts a message to our main loop and asks for volunteers to provide meals (our team is born). The member receiving the meals is contacted and a schedule is established that meets her family’s needs. Generally, our goal is to provide a meal every other day for two weeks during a requested time.
H.O.O.T. O.W.L.
Hoot Owl is open to all members, but is specifically designed for Mom’s whose have Husbands Out Of Town Or Working Late. Activities include things that members can bring their children to. Because of their husbands’ work schedules, often times these are the only activities they can go to during the week. Activities include but are not limited to family dinners out at child friendly restaurants, evening or weekend playgroups and field trips.
Annual Halloween party
Our chapter hosts a great, non-scary, very fun Halloween party every October. What a great opportunity to wear that costume one more time! This annual family event includes pizza and goodies, a photo booth, crafts and games.
Book Club
We read a variety of books that are nominated and chosen by our members. One book is chosen for each month with monthly meetings held on the last week of the month. The books we choose are a wonderful variety of classics and new fiction from every genre and can often be found at your local library. In general, we meet on the last Thursday or Sunday evening of the month. We meet at a variety of coffeehouses and member’s homes.
Dinner Club
Dinner Club is open to all members of our group. It was created to include our husbands and significant others in the Mothers & More family, but members may join without their spouse or significant other.
It also allows us to have a planned monthly date night! Dinner Club is an adults only club, no kids allowed. The Dinner Club meets once a month, usually on the second Saturday. Most of our dinners are at members’ homes, but from time to time we go out to a local restaurant. Theme nights are quite common, for example: Murder Mystery, Wine Tasting, Fondue, Mexican etc.
By joining the Dinner Club you agree to host at least one dinner in your home within a 6-8 month “rotation”. You also agree to bring a dish to each Dinner Party you attend, as well as your own alcohol.

Seasoned Moms Club (SM)
Our Seasoned Moms Group is open to all members, but is specifically for mothers of school aged children.
This fun Seasoned (or Spicy!) Moms Group meets at least twice each month, during the school year, once for lunch and once for coffee. Times, locations and days of the week vary to accommodate the many busy and varied schedules of members with slightly older kids. SM attempts to meet without our kids, but if that's impossible, bring them along!
Recent SM activities have included movie nights, day-trips to Parkville and Lawrence and a field trip to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore. Past activities have included movie night with the kids; happy meals for happy hour - dinner out with the kids; playgroup for the older kids at local parks or pools where they can roller blade, skateboard, ride bikes and/or swim.

Special Events
We also offer some special social events for our members. We have gone on shopping day trips, went to Dream Dinners to create a free freezer meal and even had a member host a chapter slumber party!
